The National Sports Center for the Disabled Competition Program is the largest of its kind in the United States.
The program is supervised and coached by a decorated veteran of skiing, Erik Petersen. The Competition Center is designed to prepare entry level & elite skiers with disabilities for local, regional, national, and international competition. The program is also home to the NSCD Alpine Ski Team, which has consistently dominated competitions throughout North America.
Since its inception, the Competition Program has placed dozens of racers on the U.S. Disabled Ski Team. At the 2006 Paralympics in Turin, Italy, NSCD worked and trained 16 of the athletes that were representing the USDST.
