Midwest Symposium on Adapted Snowsports

What: 3 day instructor and volunteer training to expand knowledge and experience in the area of adaptive snowsports

Where: Snow Creek Ski Area, Weston, MO

Who: Hosted by the National Sports Center for the Disabled
Lead Presenter–Beth Fox, NSCD Operations Dir/PSIA Educator

When: Tues, January 12 - Thursday, January 14, 2010

Description: Ski lessons for individuals with spinal cord injuries or other physical disabilities,
visual impairments, and autism.

Schedule
Session Tracks:
Track 1 - Working with Blind or Visually Impaired Skiers
Track 2 - Working with Stand Skiers (includes physical disabilities and developmental disabilities)
Green Circle - 1/2 day of training for those who want an introduction to volunteering

Tues, 2 - 8 pm
Track 1 - NSCD Module #4 (Blind/VI)
Track 2 - NSCD Module #4 (Developmental Disabilities)

Wed, 2 - 8 pm
Track 1 - NSCD Training Module #5 (Blind/VI
Track 2 - NSCD Training Module #5 (Physical Disabilities)

Thurs, 2 - 8 pm
Track 1 - NSCD Training Module #6 (Blind/VI)

Thurs, 2 – 5 pm                        
Green Circle Training

Thurs, 6 – 9 pm
Green Circle Training

Cost: $25 for NSCD-KC Snow Creek volunteers
$95 for all other clinic attendees
$5 Green Circle Training only
