Mountain Biking
We have an extensive fleet of handcycles, and youth sized recumbent bikes for paved paths and roadways. We also have a state-of-the-art fleet of Bowhead and Reactive Adaptive mountain bikes and two-wheel fat tire bikes. Our mountain bike programs take place in the Front Range and in Grand County and encompass beginner to expert terrain. Our expert guides will get you fitted with the right bike and will help you learn how to ride the trails with confidence.

1. Do you have a spinal cord injury or any other condition which effects your ability to move your back and lower body?
2. Do you use a wheelchair or any other device to assist in ambulating from a seated position?
3. Are you unable to walk independently or require an assistive device?
4. Do you need balance support?
5. Do you need coordination support?

Community Rides

The NSCD is hosting a community ride day in Denver and Winter Park to bring community members together to experience and learn about adaptive mountain biking possibilities. Register in advance to guarantee a 1hour introduction to mountain biking ride or join us the day of for available open time slots. Join us to experience the different adaptive bike options available. Our team will help you determine the right type of bike to fit your needs, help you adjust the bike to suit your preferences and take you out on the trail with a group of other riders. Stand, recumbent and hand cycle options available. Time slots offered in 1 hour increments between 9AM and 2PM, pre-registered guests are guaranteed their chosen time slot, there will also be additional openings on a first come first served basis. Community members with their own bikes are encouraged to bring them and join the fun!

Adaptive Mountain Bike Camp

3 days of biking in and around Winter Park Colorado! Learn the basics of mountain biking or prefect your technique. This camp will focus on cross country mountain bike skills and exploration. NSCD has a variety of adaptive bikes to best fit your needs, including power assist hand cycles!

This camp would normally cost $480 but is discounted to $150 thank to a generous grant received by the NSCD!

* $480 full price. During the checkout process, the price will automatically change to $150.
If the minimum number of campers is not met 7 days prior to a camp, the camp will be canceled.
