  Tribute gifts are a timeless way to remember or honor a loved one who shares a passion for the outdoors and believes recreation should be accessible to all.

  Our team will send a letter to the honoree or their family notifying them of your thoughtful donation. 

• Grocery Shopping That Gives Back

  When you shop at King Soopers or City Market, you can raise money for the NSCD through the Kroger Community Rewards Program! 

  Enrolling is completely free, and it won’t impact your fuel points or other Kroger savings. It’s as easy as entering your phone number at check out, or swiping your existing rewards card!  

  By linking your King Soopers or City Market rewards card (or Alternate ID) to the NSCD, your grocery purchases will start earning us a percentage of 10 million dollars every year.

• Stock Giving

  A gift of highly appreciated shares of stock (Common Stock, shares of Mutual Funds or shares in Exchange Traded Funds) that you have owned for one year or longer, is a great way to forever avoid capital gains taxation on those shares, all while supporting adaptive recreation.  

  The gift can be in the form of Publicly Traded shares or Private Held shares (though an appraisal specific to the transaction is needed for Privately Held shares). 

  How to Give 

  To initiate a stock transfer or if you have any questions, please contact our Development Team today <insert link to contact form that goes to [email protected]> 

  Important: Please let us know the name of the stock and/or the number of shares you are transferring so that we can credit you with the gift. 

  The bank DOES NOT notify us of the donor, only the shares received. Your notification ensures we can properly credit your generous donation and provide you with a tax receipt.

• Donate a Vehicle

  Did you know you can donate most vehicles including cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles and recreational vehicles, to the National Sports Center for the Disabled?

  We partner with our friends at Vehicles for Charity who help make it all happen.

  Donated vehicles don’t need to be in running condition, as Vehicles for Charity will arrange to tow your vehicle if necessary. Your car donation is tax deductible and will provide valuable monetary support to fund the NSCD’s adaptive programs.

• Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)

  A grant from your donor-advised fund helps expand access to life-changing adaptive sports and recreation experiences for individuals with disabilities.  

  To recommend a grant, please use our legal name, National Sports Center for the Disabled, and Tax ID 84-0738419. 

• IRA Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

  If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a tax-efficient gift directly from your IRA to the NSCD.  

  Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) can help support adaptive sports and recreation while potentially providing tax benefits and satisfying required minimum distributions (RMDs). 

  Please consult your financial or tax advisor to determine if a QCD is right for you. Once you’ve initiated your gift, please let us know it’s on the way so we can properly acknowledge your generosity.
