Julie is an experienced leader with over three decades in Executive Management roles in both the non-profit and corporate sectors. She has held leadership positions in the adaptive industry for over 16 years. Julie’s most important role is Mom to her two boys, one of which is a NSCD athlete on the competition team and competed in the 2022 Beijing and 2026 Milano/Cortina Paralympic Games.

Finance & Human Resources DirectorMalinda Anderson
Malinda joined the NSCD in 2019. She has over 25 years of experience with nonprofit leadership in accounting, finance, operations, programs and fundraising. Malinda brings comprehensive executive-level nonprofit leadership and management.

Operations & Communications DirectorDiane Eustace
Diane joined the NSCD in January 2012. As the Operations Director, she is responsible for providing leadership in administration and management of day-to-day operations, facilities and vehicles, customer service and communication matters of the National Sports Center for the Disabled. In addition, she oversees the administration and management of the media efforts to increase awareness, participation and funding in alignment with the organization’s mission.

Development & Marketing DirectorElyse Salzman
Elyse joined the NSCD in March 2024, bringing over 12 years of nonprofit fundraising experience. Inspired by a love for adventure and the outdoors, she is committed to expanding outdoor access and opportunity for people of all abilities. She leads strategic fundraising efforts through individual giving, corporate partnerships, grant funding, and capital initiatives.

Competition Center DirectorErik Petersen
Erik has trained more than 300 athletes in his time at the NSCD. He has more than 30 years’ experience in competitive ski racing and is a seven-time All-American in Alpine Skiing. Currently, Erik has held positions on the International Paralympic Committee as Head of Competition for North America, and was a member of the Adaptive Sports Committee USA.

Recreational Program DirectorMark Stump
Mark’s passion for adaptive outdoor recreation was ignited by the NSCD when he was hired as an instructor in 2018. In his time with the company he has held oversight of the safety and risk management team, provided instruction for each and every recreational program, and overseen the maintenance and purchasing of all equipment. Mark strives to lead his team with a focus on empathy, vulnerability, and courage.

Metro Program ManagerMatt Peterson
Matt has been working in Adaptive Recreation for four years and joined the NSCD in July of 2024. As the Front Range Program Manager, he oversees all Denver Metro Area summer camps, school programs, custom groups, and veteran programs. He has over a decade of professional outdoor guiding experience as a river guide, mountain bike instructor and snowboard coach.

Mountain Program ManagerThor Knutson
Thor joined the NSCD in November of 2024, bringing eight years of adaptive alpine experience with him. He worked as an adaptive instructor for many years, an adaptive field guide for a handful of summers, and led teams in a variety of capacities. Thor oversees the Winter Park program team, including both winter and summer programming.

Marketing & Development ManagerJessica Roda
Jessica joined the NSCD in January 2024 as a volunteer and became an instructor in May 2024, supporting adaptive sports programming and helping athletes build confidence and independence through movement. She now supports donor engagement and marketing efforts while staying grounded in a passion for helping others achieve what they once thought was out of reach.

Development ManagerErin Burba
Erin joined the NSCD in October of 2024. In this role, she supports grant writing, corporate sponsorships, events, and foundation relations. She brings more than 15 years of experience in event management and, prior to joining NSCD, held roles in conference management, fundraising, and program development with nonprofit, educational, and mission-driven organizations across the country.

Customer Service & Database ManagerAdam Cord
Adam joined the NSCD in July of 2023. As a customer service and database manager, Adam is responsible for helping customers solve unique problems and answer any questions they may have, and he tries his best to help fulfill customer wishes. Adam was born deaf and has a passion for the outdoors. After the pandemic, he wanted to marry the outdoors with adaptive recreation and landed with the NSCD. He has built relationships with multiple organizations over the years in helping with registration, questions, or invoicing. Adam strives to be a team player and help the NSCD succeed in any way it can.
